Acadian Construction approached the Atlantic team about a floor leveling product they had heard about for their 40, 000 square foot international gymnasium. A meeting was set up with the Atlantic team and the applicator. Agilia Screed A was conclusively the product for them; not only for their leveling needs to meet the specified atness of 5mm over a 20 000 sqft area, but it also provided the high strength characteristics the customer was looking for.
In preparation of this large job, the Oromocto silo in New Brunswick needed to be cleared out to make room for the screed binder. A trial pad was also poured the day before in order to ensure the job would run smoothly.
And it did: the International Olympic-sized basketball Gymnasium floor was poured in only 2 days. It took one applicator crew to pour one half on September 23rd in 41 m3 and the second half the next day with 43 m3 with a total placing time of 6.5hrs.
This is one of the largest and most precise leveling jobs despite the massive size and accuracy required. The screed performed flawlessly and each load was steady and consistent.
The construction team was very impressed with how easy it was to place Agilia Screed A, making what is commonly a difficult processes of a project, the simplest.
